This was an FX without the built-in exposure meter, intended for pro users who did not want or need the exposure meter. An external CdS exposure meter, having the same specifications as the FX's built-in meter, was offered as an option.

- Shutter: Horizontal-travel focal-plane shutter with cloth curtains. Speeds: X, B, 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/15, 1/30, 1/60, 1/125, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1000 sec. Self-timer built-in. No shutter button lock.
- Flash Sync: FP- and X-sync automatic-switching sync contacts with German socket.
- Viewfinder: Fixed eye-level pentaprism, 0.9x magnification (with FL 50mm), 90% vertical coverage, 93% horizontal coverage. Split-image rangefinder at the center of the fresnel matte screen. Mirror lockup available.
- Built-in Exposure Meter: None. External FP meter available.
- Film Loading & Advance: Insert film after opening the back. Advances with camera-top lever (160 single or partial strokes, plus an extra 20 strokes).
- Frame Counter: Counts up, resets automatically when the back is opened.
- Film Rewind: Collapsible crank
