[Canon] Demi Rapid | June 1965
Demi Rapid
In May 1964, Germany's Agfa announced its Rapid System to compete with Eastman Kodak's Instamatic camera system.
It used a special cartridge containing 35mm-width film. When the cartridge was loaded, the film speed was set automatically. The exposed film was also contained in an adjoining cartridge, making film rewind unnecessary. The Demi Rapid was a half-size camera from the Rapid System, based on the Demi S. It featured a CdS meter in place of the selenium exposure meter, and a built-in self-timer.
