The IV Sb2 is an economical version of the IV Sb, differing only in its top shutter speed of 1/500 sec. Both the IV Sb and IV Sb2 came with a 50mm f/1.5 lens and had a high price of 85,000 yen, while the II S was more affordable at 78,500 yen.

- Shutter: Two-axis, horizontal-travel focal-plane shutter with cloth curtains. Single-axis rotating dial for T, 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, and 1/15 sec., and single-axis rotating dial (with index) for X, B, 1/30, 1/60, 1/125, 1/250, and 1/500 sec.
- Flash Sync: FP- and X-sync (direct synchronization provided with flash rail).
- Viewfinder: Coincidence rangefinder integrated with reversed Galilean viewfinder rotatable to set one of three magnifications. Eyepiece made slightly larger.
- Frame Counter: Manually set from 39 to 0 at base of camera-top rewind knob. Film speed indicator dial on top of rewind knob. Exposure count indicator provided.
