[Canon] II A | Film Cameras | Mar 1952
The IV S was a simplified version of the IV model, lacking flash synchronization and featuring a limited shutter speed range of 1/8 sec to 1/500 sec. This made it more affordable, with around 300 units produced. These cameras were made-to-order for Jardine Matheson Co., a British trading company that primarily sold them in the Oceania market. The slow shutter speed dial hole was covered with a round brass patch, matte chrome-plated and wrapped in the same synthetic leather as the camera body.
